Wisdom 4 Life Coaching Blog
In life, We have a Choice.
You have the right & ability to choose how you are going to live & view the events of your life. Are you going to choose to be a Victimor a Victor. Not once will you see Dr. Pausch seek pity for his sickness or cry out how life is not fair. No, not all. Live Life! It is your choice.
As your friend & coach, I wanted to directly challenge you to be good a steward of your life. Choose wisely your attitudes for they will guide your focus. We are to be good stewards of both the good & the bad that happens in our lives. The peaches & the lemons.
I know, what you are thinking. "Easy for you to say, you don't have (fill in the blank) happening to you. Or "You don't know what it is like to loose (fill in the blank)." No, I don't but you do. And someone else is desperately needing to talk to someone who has been there and can understand what they are going through. Be a good steward.
My sister was killed in a car accident October 12th, 1997 on her way home from a church youth group retreat. I will not ever forget the severity of pain that was on my fathers face as he tried to carefully tell me what had occurred. Through my own pain of loss, I watched the grief & anguish ravish our family & friends. Many of our core values & beliefs were challenge. Despair was rampant. Hearts were broken.
But there came a point that a decision had to be made on how I was going to allow this first hand experience influence my life. "You have been blessed with this knowledge, what are you going to do with it? Be a Good Steward! One of the ways I choose to help others understand the grieving process is by volunteering each year at Camp Carousel which is hosted by Kansas City Hospice.
I had a choice. Dr. Pausch had a choice. So do you.
Choose wisely.
Become a Good Steward & don't be a Victim.
